-- Part 1 Receiving the turntable from the shipper.
*
-- Platters (outer and inner with rubber mat) were removed from the
turntable then shrink-wrapped as a unit onto the box lid as shown to the
left. The turntable chassis and cabinet, and tonearm, were
shrink-wrapped heavily and then placed over the platters within the
shipping box. Also, In the above photo, a smaller box is in the
background. This houses a 'NOS' Jelco SA-370H tonearm. The Jelco was
shipped by the owner separately in its own dedicated shipping container.
-- After removing the shrink wrap from the chassis and cabinet, the
original equipment TP13 tonearm seems to have survived being shrink
wrapped. It would appear that the shrink wrap was applied gently enough
not to impart any structural damage to it. That said, I would find
another way to immobilize and protect the delicate tonearm for shipment.

-- above: In this shot we can see the main platter bearing shaft protrucing through the box lid into the protective cavity of empty space. The shipping container was heavily padded with foam peanuts.
* With the inner platter and bearing shaft installed to the chassis. Just to make an early appraisal of bearing condition. Also it is noted that the motor does run and the pulley and shaft spin true.
* The assembled TD150. Looking as it did in the 'mid to late' 1960s when the TD150 was made.
* Mk 1 on/off switch. Pull up to turn off. Push down to start the platter. Turn left/right to switch speed.
* Back view of the original TD150 mk1
* A nice spiffy 'NOS' Jelco SA-370H tonearm to be mounted to the finished project.
