Listening after mounting to this black ebony armboard. The sonic
effect of the ebony, compared to the previous baltic birch board, is to
alter tone from cool-analytical to warmer, rounder more inviting. A step
in the right direction for now.

Listening to the Shelter 501-II on the Zeta...uh, err, Houston, we have a problem. The Shelter suffered a mis-hap that caused the cantilever to twist sideways within its tube. 4 weeks later. After having repairs made to the Shelter by Andy Kim at https://www.phonocartridgeretipping.com/, the Shelter was back in the Zeta and playing records. Although I must admit that the Shelter sounded its best in my system when mounted to the Graham 2.2 tonearm. It seemed to be a very good match between that arm and cartridge. The zeta, saw most of its duty, when I had it, holding wood bodied Denon DL103R cartridges. That was a happy setup.
In the fall of 2017 I sold this tonearm to another audiophile who happened to be looking for a Zeta. And this Zeta had very good cosmetics. I sold that arm for the same price that I had bought it a few years later. Good memories mostly.
