When the tonearm / headshell does not provide for azimuth adjustment, a small - narrowly cut - thin bar of lead sheet is placed between the fastener bolts in betwixed cartridge and head shell. The bar allows adjustment simply by turning one fastener screw more than the other to tilt the cartridge about it.
Of course now that we know how to adjust it, how do we adjust it by the most precise method possible? That's a subject for another article.
